According to Craig Mish of Sirius XM Radio, the Miami Marlins have signed veteran outfielder Juan Pierre to a one-year $1.6M deal.
Pierre, 35, batted .307/.351/.371 with 37 steals in 130 games with the Philadelphia Phillies last season.
Juan Pierre returns to make his second stint with the Marlins. In the three season that he played with the Fish (2003-2005), he never missed a single game (played all 162 game).
The Marlins replaced some speed that they lost in the Jose Reyes/Emilio Bonifacio deal.
